The mosque is composed of two main sections: a Shabistan (inner sanctum) and a Wudu Khaneh (lavabo).

The lavabo is a two-story structure, with each level supported by eight columns. The first floor features three wooden doors that lead directly into the Shabistan.

The Shabistan measures 25 by 16 meters and is adorned with tiles inscribed with Quranic verses in the Naskh calligraphy style. Its Mihrab (prayer niche) sits 7 centimeters below the floor level and features green tilework decorated with Quranic inscriptions. Large windows on the eastern side allow natural light to illuminate the space.

An 18-meter brick minaret rises from the northeastern corner of the mosque. This octagonal tower is topped with a small dome decorated in geometric tile patterns of light blue, yellow, dark brown, and white.

The mosque’s entrance showcases red brickwork and robust wooden doors. Originally, it served both as a religious school and a place for daily prayers. In 1976, Akbarieh Mosque was officially registered as a National Heritage Site.
