Ingredients for Chocolate Cake

1.5 cups flour

2 eggs

1 cup sugar (slightly less than full)

2/3 cup warm milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

3 tablespoons cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions for Making Chocolate Cake

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat the oven to 170°C (338°F). If you're using an electric oven like a microwave or toaster oven, set the temperature to 150°C (302°F).

Step 2: Prepare the Pan and Sift the Dry Ingredients

Line your chosen baking pan with parchment paper or grease it with a non-stick spray. Take 3 tablespoons of flour and mix it with the cocoa powder and baking powder. Sift this mixture three times.

Step 3: Beat the Eggs, Sugar, and Vanilla

In a suitable bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Beat on high speed with an electric mixer for 5 minutes until the mixture becomes thick and creamy. Add the warm milk and mix for 30 seconds on medium speed.

Step 4: Add the Milk and Oil

Add the vegetable oil to the mixture and mix for another 10 seconds. Gradually add the sifted flour mixture in three stages, folding it in gently to maintain the egg's fluffiness.

Step 5: Combine the Flour Gently

Use a spatula to gently fold the flour mixture into the batter, mixing in one direction to keep the batter smooth and consistent. If the batter seems too thin, add 1 tablespoon of sifted flour.

Step 6: Pour the Batter into the Pan

Pour the batter into the prepared pan, tapping it a few times on the counter to release any air bubbles. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes.

Step 7: Test for Doneness and Cool the Cake

After 40 minutes, test the cake with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the cake is done. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool slightly before taking it out of the pan and placing it on a serving plate.

Step 8: Decorate with Melted Chocolate

1

If desired, decorate the cake with melted chocolate. Melt 200 grams of chocolate with 1 tablespoon of oil in a bowl over simmering water (double boiler method). Pour the melted chocolate over the cake and spread it evenly.
