Iran Military Spokesperson: Missile Production Continued Uninterrupted After 12-Day War

Speaking at a seminar held at Tehran’s Sharif University of Technology, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said that Iran’s missile production began in the early years following the victory of the Islamic Revolution and during the Sacred Defense against Saddam’s regime.

He noted that Iran grew stronger as it moved forward from the Revolution and the eight-year war, emphasizing that the lessons learned during the Sacred Defense highlighted the necessity of developing missiles, warships, and other military equipment.

Referring to the 12-day war, Shekarchi stated that Iranian missiles, designed and built by domestic experts, penetrated the enemy’s costly defense systems and struck key targets of the Israeli regime.

The military spokesman added that the Fattah missile was among the Iranian systems that successfully bypassed advanced enemy defenses and accurately hit their targets during the 12-day war in June.

He stressed that since the war, Iran has become stronger than ever, adding that the country’s weapons factories have been operating continuously. “Our factories producing powerful missiles have not stopped for a single moment,” General Shekarchi said.
