A Saudi man’s long-standing claim of being married to a female jinn has stunned the public. According to reports, the man says he was married to the supernatural being for 23 years in an effort to make her wealthy.

Hani Bakhshwin, a Saudi citizen, shared his extraordinary story of marrying a jinn named Maimuna. He revealed that the marriage, intended to bring wealth, was orchestrated by a Nigerian sorcerer.

According to the website Dunia Al-Watan, Bakhshwin recounted meeting the Nigerian sorcerer 23 years ago and asking for a spell to make him a millionaire. The sorcerer instructed him to buy a house, live alone, and report his dreams each night.

In one such dream, Bakhshwin claimed to have seen a woman accompanied by her mother offering him a cup of juice. The sorcerer interpreted this dream, saying a jinn woman had fallen in love with him.

The Nigerian sorcerer later informed him that the jinn, Maimuna, requested a dowry, clothing, gold, and other gifts. Bakhshwin said he paid 30,000 Saudi riyals to fulfill her demands and followed the sorcerer’s instructions, entering a room to meet his supernatural bride, who appeared wearing a blue dress.

He admitted that over the years, he continued to make payments—up to 250,000 riyals—and quietly communicated with the jinn, hoping she would bring him wealth as promised by the sorcerer.

Ultimately, however, it was revealed that Bakhshwin had been the victim of a scam, as such supernatural schemes targeting wealthy Saudis have reportedly become increasingly common.
