SAEDNEWS: Malaysia, in collaboration with the Selangor state government, was officially awarded the hosting rights for the 7th Islamic Solidarity Games in 2029.
The Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA) carried out on-site inspection visits to Uzbekistan, Malaysia, and Iran following the official bid submissions for the 2029 Games.
Selangor was ultimately chosen as the host city for the next edition.
The sixth edition of the Games is currently taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, featuring athletes from 57 countries.
