According to the History Service of Saed News, Tutankhamun (meaning of the name: Living Image of Amun) was the Pharaoh of Egypt from 1332 BC to 1323 BC. He was the eleventh Pharaoh of ancient Egypt from the Eighteenth Dynasty, also known as the New Kingdom. Tutankhamun is one of the most famous pharaohs of ancient Egypt and is also called King Tut.
Tutankhamun’s tomb was discovered on November 4, 1922, in the Valley of the Kings by Howard Carter, with financial support from Lord Carnarvon, and it was found more or less intact. His burial site is considered one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the twentieth century. After the discovery of astonishing artifacts in Tutankhamun’s tomb in the twentieth century, he became the most famous pharaoh of Egypt. Inside his stone tomb, there are three coffins, the last of which is made of gold and contained the mummified body of Tutankhamun — a body that had been perfectly preserved for three thousand years.
Tutankhamun became Pharaoh of Egypt at the age of nine and led the return from the Aten worship back to the former religion, the worship of Amun. His minister and probable successor, Ay, may have influenced many of his political decisions.
Despite Tutankhamun’s modern fame, his reign was very short and had little impact on Egyptian society. In fact, he was just a child who was crowned at nine and died at nineteen after ten years of rule. However, some believe his influence after death was greater than during his life. After several people who entered his tomb died, the rumor arose that the pharaoh cursed and punished those who disturbed the peace of his tomb.
