SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi emphasizes that while no final agreement to resume talks with the US exists, diplomatic exchanges continue and future negotiations will depend entirely on Iran’s national interests. He highlights Iran’s strong and rational negotiation approach amid ongoing challenges and US hostility.
New statements by Araghchi regarding the timing and format of Iran-US negotiations have drawn significant attention on television.
According to Saed News quoting Mehr, the Foreign Minister said: “So far, no definitive agreement has been reached to resume negotiations, but message exchanges with the other side continue. The timing and form of future talks depend entirely on the judgment of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s national interests.”
He added: “Negotiation is one of the tools of the Islamic Republic alongside resistance, diplomacy, and defensive power. Just as before the US military aggression, Iran conducted five rounds of negotiations with the American side, now too, wherever the interests of the people require, diplomacy will be utilized.”
Araghchi continued: “Recent experience showed that Iran entered negotiations with a strong position and a rational approach, effectively defending the rights of the Iranian people. Despite the fact that the opposing side resorted to aggressive options after failing in negotiations, the Islamic Republic succeeded in legitimizing its defense in the eyes of global public opinion.”
