SAEDNEWS: A Father Tattoos His Daughter’s Name 667 Times on His Body
Tattooing the names of loved ones has become increasingly common in recent years, but one British man has taken the trend to an entirely new level—marking his daughter’s name on his body 667 times.
Mark Owen Evans, 49, holds the record for the most tattoos of a single repeated word on a person’s body.
In 2017, Evans tattooed his seven-year-old daughter Lucy’s name 267 times across his back, setting a Guinness World Record for “most tattoos of a single word” at the time.

The record was briefly broken in 2020 by 27-year-old Dedra Vigil from the United States, who had her own name tattooed 300 times. Determined to reclaim his title, Evans added 400 more Lucy tattoos, bringing his total to 667. Two tattoo artists spent over five and a half hours inking 200 tattoos on each of his legs.
“It was a strange experience,” Evans said. “Because two tattoo artists were working at the same time, the pain wasn’t as intense. I’m thrilled to hold a record that’s literally with me everywhere I go.”
For the initial set of tattoos, Evans chose a motif of an open book, inscribing Lucy’s name within it—a nod to the Guinness World Records book itself.
