SAEDNEWS: Iran has launched a wave of missile strikes targeting Israel, deploying some of its most advanced weaponry in what appears to be a dramatic escalation of regional hostilities.

Iran Launches Missile Barrage on Israel Using Advanced Arsenal, Including Hypersonic Fattah-1

According to Saed News, citing Iranian state-affiliated media, Tehran used a mix of ballistic and hypersonic missiles in the pre-noon offensive, including the Kheibar Shekan, Emad, Qadr, and the recently unveiled Fattah-1 — Iran’s first hypersonic missile.

A senior Iranian source speaking to the Fars News Agency confirmed the deployment of these missile systems, describing the strike as a coordinated attack aimed at multiple locations across Israeli-controlled territory. Hebrew-language media outlets reported that several missiles struck their intended targets, and pointed to what they called “serious lapses” in Israel’s multi-tiered air defence network.

The Kheibar Shekan is a third-generation long-range ballistic missile known for its speed and precision. The Emad and Qadr are older but still potent liquid-fuel missiles with ranges exceeding 1,000km. Most notably, the Fattah-1, a hypersonic weapon capable of high-speed mid-flight manoeuvres, was designed specifically to evade interception.

If verified, the use of Fattah-1 would mark one of the first instances of a hypersonic missile being used in active combat, highlighting a sharp shift in the nature of Iran’s military doctrine.

The reported effectiveness of the strike — and the apparent failure of Israeli defences to intercept much of the barrage — will likely deepen anxiety across the region and prompt urgent international scrutiny. The attack comes at a time of heightened tension, and with diplomatic efforts faltering, the risk of a broader conflict appears to be growing.
