Saed News:The U.S. President's special envoy to the West Asia region, while claiming that a nuclear Iran would be a threat to the existence of the Zionist regime, emphasized that Iran should not be allowed to begin enrichment or develop any kind of nuclear capability.
According to the Saed News website, quoting ISNA, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth wrote that Steve Wittkoff, the U.S. President’s special envoy to the West Asia region, in a phone call with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, discussed the growing tensions in the West Asia region and emphasized: Tehran possesses a large number of missiles that pose an existential threat to the U.S., the world, and the Persian Gulf region.
According to Al-Sharq, Wittkoff also said in a meeting in New York:
“We must, regardless of the cost, be firmly determined to prevent Iran from achieving its ambitions.”
The U.S. President's special envoy further claimed:
“A nuclear Iran, just like its missile arsenal, is an existential threat to Israel, and we must never allow Iran to enrich uranium or develop any nuclear capability.”
Meanwhile, the news site Axios, quoting an American official, reported that Wittkoff will meet Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, on Sunday in Muscat to discuss Tehran’s response.
Iran has declared that uranium enrichment on its own soil is Tehran’s red line in the negotiations.
