According to Saed News, tensions between U.S. President Donald Trump and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, have entered a new phase, spilling over into the American media and political landscape.
In his latest remarks on Friday night during a conversation with reporters, Trump openly declared that he has no interest in speaking with Elon Musk. When asked by an ABC News reporter about the possibility of a conversation with the owner of the social media platform X, he said:
“You mean the man who’s lost his mind? I have no interest in talking to Elon Musk, even though he wants to talk to me.”
Trump then added sarcastically to CNN:
“I don’t even think about Elon. That poor guy has issues.”
A White House spokesperson also confirmed in response to journalists' questions that there have been no phone calls or plans for a conversation between Trump and Musk, and such a meeting is not on the agenda.
The verbal clash has spread to the media. The New York Post, in its Friday edition, published a cover photo of Trump and Musk with the headline:
“I Hate My Ex(m)!”
The article described it as “The Great and Glorious Breakup of Trump and Musk,” where insults and threats have replaced their former camaraderie.
The conflict hasn’t remained purely verbal. Trump has recently threatened to cancel government contracts with Musk’s companies, including Tesla and SpaceX. He has also warned about halting federal subsidies for Musk’s projects.
These escalating tensions have reportedly contributed to a recent decline in Tesla’s stock value in the financial markets.
