SAEDNEWS: US Ambassador in Occupied Territories: More Actions Against Iran Needed Despite EU Triggering of Snapback
According to the political desk of Saed News, the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, in a talk at the Institute for National Security Studies, made provocative remarks about Iran, warning that Europeans would be “truly foolish” if they fail to grasp the seriousness of the threat from Tehran.
In his statements, Mike Huckabee claimed: “I don’t think Iran took Trump seriously until the B-2 bombers struck Fordow. I hope the message was received, but apparently not, as it seems they are looking for new ways to resume their nuclear program in a safer and deeper location.”
He added, “Iran is not just a serious threat to the U.S. and Israel, but to all of Europe. If Europeans do not understand this, they are even more foolish than I imagine. I know this is not diplomatically correct, but just look at their statements… I’m glad the snapback mechanism was implemented against Iran, but more such actions are needed to limit Iran’s ability to achieve its objectives.”
In a special interview during a conference on Israel-U.S. relations at the National Security Studies Institute, Huckabee also addressed Hamas, saying: “Every day Hamas remains in Gaza, it grows stronger, not weaker. There is an urgency here. They need to lay down their weapons and leave.”
Regarding Syria, he stated: “I genuinely believe an agreement between Israel and Syria is possible. Ahmed al-Shara knows that his survival and any stability in Syria depend on being able to make peace with Israel.”
On Lebanon, the ambassador said: “The Lebanese Armed Forces need to become stronger. This process is slower than we would like, but they must be given the opportunity. We need to be patient. The Lebanese government must learn to walk before it can run.”
Huckabee also criticized Western student movements supporting Palestinians, noting: “When people at universities chant ‘from the river to the sea,’ they have no idea what they are talking about. They are uninformed. That slogan calls for the destruction of all Israel.”
Finally, he defended U.S.-Israel cooperation, saying it benefits Americans and emphasizing that the public must understand the strategic value of this partnership.
