SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman offered to the Indian government and nation, following the deadly bus crash that led to the death of dozens of Indian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
According to Saed News, Esmaeil Baghaei, Spokesman for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed heartfelt condolences following the tragic deaths of several Indian Umrah pilgrims from Hyderabad in a bus crash near the city of Medina. He extended sympathies to the families of the victims, as well as to the people and government of India.
The senior Iranian diplomat prayed for divine mercy and forgiveness for those who lost their lives and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
At least 45 Indian Umrah pilgrims were killed and one person was injured when a bus collided with a fuel tanker near Medina, Saudi Arabia, on Monday.
The Hindustan Times reported that the devastating accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. India time in the Mufrehat area, approximately 160 kilometres from Medina. The victims were reportedly Indian nationals, with several believed to be residents of the state of Hyderabad.
