SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Chief of Staff, Major General Seyed Abdul Rahim Mousavi, commemorates Air Defense Day, emphasizing the strategic role, modernization, and operational readiness of Iran’s air defense systems.
Major General Seyed Abdul Rahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, sent a message on the occasion of September 1st, Air Defense Day, addressed to Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi-Fard, Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Joint Air Defense Headquarters and the Air Defense Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army. In his message, he commemorated the day and emphasized the strategic and vital role of air defense in securing the skies of Islamic Iran.

September 1st, ‘Air Defense Day,’ reminds us of the high efforts and immense struggles of the brave men who, relying on faith, knowledge, and initiative, have ensured and stabilized the security of Iran’s skies in the most sensitive historical arenas. This auspicious day provides a valuable opportunity to revisit achievements and chart new horizons for the advancement of the country’s air defense.
Regional and global security developments, particularly the valuable experiences of the Iranian nation during the eight-year Sacred Defense and the 12-day recent defensive war against the Zionist regime and the United States, have highlighted the necessity to modernize systems, strengthen capabilities, and enhance operational readiness of air defense more than ever, paving the way for achieving the envisioned goals by God’s grace.
Undoubtedly, Iran’s air defense, as the ‘frontline of national sovereignty defense,’ must, by employing modern technologies, indigenous initiatives, and investing in committed and expert human resources, maintain and expand its effectiveness and power at a level commensurate with emerging threats and potential enemy aggressions.
Furthermore, implementing a reliable integrated air defense system and enhancing coordination, synergy, and the decisive role of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in this field is a strategic necessity and a guarantee of comprehensive defense efficiency against enemies. In this path, the Khatam al-Anbiya Joint Air Defense Headquarters, as the main hub for organizing and directing this vast structure, will magnificently and gloriously fulfill its decisive and future-shaping roles with intelligence and vigilance worthy of its position.
