Iran’s President Officially Welcomed in Armenia, Bilateral Talks Begin

SAEDNEWS: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Armenia on Monday and was officially welcomed by the Armenian Prime Minister. Bilateral talks and the signing of cooperation agreements are scheduled during his two-day visit.

According to Saed News, quoting IRNA, the official welcome ceremony for the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held a few minutes ago at the Presidential Palace of Armenia. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Yerevan on Monday, 27 Mordad, at the official invitation of the Armenian Prime Minister for a bilateral state visit. He was welcomed by the Deputy Prime Ministers and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

Pezeshkian and Pashinyan

Following the official reception, private bilateral talks between Pezeshkian and Pashinyan will take place, followed by the signing of cooperation documents between the two countries.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farazneh Sadegh Malvajerd, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Seyed Mohammad Atabak, and Vice President and Head of the Planning and Budget Organization Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi are accompanying the President on this visit to Armenia.

On the first day of his visit, Pezeshkian will meet with experts in Iranian studies and Iranian residents living in Armenia, and he will also attend a joint session of economic activists from both countries.

Prior to leaving Tehran, Pezeshkian emphasized that developing and strengthening cooperation with neighboring and allied countries is a key objective and priority of the 14th government’s foreign policy. He stated that the visit to friendly neighbor Armenia is aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
