President Pezeshkian Calls for Global Cooperation to Counter Injustice in Gaza

According to Saed News, On Monday, August 18, during his visit to Armenia, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian met with Iranian residents in the country and stated that isolating ourselves only leaves us behind in civilization and progress. He emphasized that, despite its significance, the event of Prophet Muhammad’s mission (Ba‘th) is not the starting point of Islamic history; rather, it is the migration (Hijra) that marks the beginning of Islamic history.

According to the Presidential Information Center, Pezeshkian added that throughout history, societies have only grown and advanced when they broke down their barriers and sought new achievements through exchanging skills and experiences with others. Historical evidence shows that civilizations that failed to communicate and interact with others remained stagnant and backward.

Pezeshkian explained that the heart and mind, not just the eyes, determine how humans understand and analyze what they see. “True vision does not depend on having healthy eyes; even if one sees well, a darkened heart and mind prevent meaningful understanding and analysis,” he stated.

The President stressed that isolating ourselves and repeatedly claiming to be the “best” or “most advanced” does not lead to real progress. Instead, interaction and exchange of experiences, skills, and achievements drive mutual advancement. Relations should first develop with neighboring countries and then globally to achieve genuine progress through shared knowledge and capabilities.

Dr. Pezeshkian noted that today’s remarkable scientific achievements result from the accumulation and exchange of knowledge across nations and civilizations, emphasizing that no single nation or country alone is responsible for the flourishing of science.

Referring to the centuries-old intertwined relationships between Iranians and neighboring nations, the President said that friendly and historic connections should be renewed and strengthened so that everyone benefits from mutual interactions. He added that the world we live in is small compared to the universe, and our lives are short; we must bring joy and prosperity to each other rather than anger, looting, and killing.

Pezeshkian emphasized that being content with one’s rights while respecting the rights of others based on fairness and justice is the key to achieving happiness in life. Interaction and communication make our world more beautiful and joyful, which is why Iran pursues visits to neighboring and other countries to expand friendly relations.

Finally, the President condemned the abuse of knowledge and technology to dominate others, citing the suffering of innocent and defenseless people in Gaza and Palestine as an example. He urged collective efforts to prevent the continuation of such crimes, calling the misuse of power “shameful and dishonorable.”
