Iran's Ambassador to France: Iran Was Not the Initiator of Aggression and Has Always Been a Supporter of Peace.

According to Saednews, Mohammad Amin-Nejad, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in an interview with Radio France Internationale (RFI) on Tuesday, emphasized the peace-loving nature of the Iranian government and people, stating:
“Iran has always targeted military facilities and has never intended to harm civilians.”

Referring to the heavy attacks by the Zionist regime on Iranian civilians, Amin-Nejad stated that over 700 Iranian citizens have lost their lives so far, 90 percent of whom were civilians. In addition, nearly one thousand people have been injured, with over 98 percent of them being civilians.

"Our core strategy has always been based on the ideas of peace, dialogue, and coexistence. Over the past 300 years, we have never attacked any country in the region or beyond."

Regarding Iran's response to the U.S. attacks on its nuclear facilities, he said:
“The Islamic Republic of Iran, in a proportionate response to the number of American strikes, targeted their base. The attack on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities — which are under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) — is a violation of all rights and international regulations.”

Reiterating that the Iranian nation is a peace-seeking nation, Amin-Nejad said:
“Our core strategy has always been based on the ideas of peace, dialogue, and coexistence. Over the past 300 years, we have never attacked any country in the region or beyond.”

He described the Zionist regime’s attack on Evin Prison as another barbaric act by the regime, saying:
“They targeted a location where individuals are held in detention and have no means of defending themselves.”

In response to a question by the French media about the health status of two French citizens held in Evin Prison, the Iranian ambassador confirmed that they are alive and in good health, and expressed hope that they will return to their country after going through the judicial process and serving their sentences.
