In a conversation with reporters, he stated: “The situation is worrying. I say this without joking or mocking—there is a strong possibility of such a war, and that possibility is increasing. This trend, unfolding before our eyes, will have direct effects on us.”
At the same time, Putin noted that the war between Iran and Israel did not cause a significant rise in oil prices, and there is no need for OPEC+ to intervene in order to control the oil markets.
Yesterday, Vladimir Putin also announced that Moscow is sharing its “ideas” with Iran and Israel on how to bring an end to the bloodshed.
Putin said: “We are in contact with our Iranian friends almost on a daily basis, and Moscow’s proposals are currently under review.”
