Saed News: Iran’s ambassador to the UN office in Geneva called the Zionist regime absolute evil and the main source of regional insecurity following its recent aggressive attack on Iran’s infrastructure. He urged international bodies to end the systematic immunity granted to this regime over decades and prevent its ongoing crimes against humanity.
According to Saed News quoting IRNA, Ali Bahraini, during the 59th session of the UN Human Rights Council and the briefing on the Secretary-General’s report on the human rights situation in Iran, stated: “In the past 13 years that the Human Rights Council has reviewed Iran’s situation, no human rights violation has been as severe and extensive as the aggressive attack on Iran on June 13.”
Emphasizing the humanitarian consequences, he said: “The human rights impacts of such unjustifiable military attacks on residential areas, vital infrastructure, and especially the attack on the peaceful nuclear facilities of Natanz and Fordow, affect the lives of Iranian civilians. These ongoing atrocities are a direct result of the immunity granted to this genocidal regime, which over the past 77 years has developed its nefarious talents in violating human rights, international laws, and committing crimes against humanity. Israel is absolute evil and the main source of terror and insecurity in the region. This terrorist entity recklessly destabilizes the entire region to secure its illegitimate security. This is not a war action against a country; it is a war against humanity.”
Bahraini continued: “The Israeli regime, through its conflict with Iran, a civilization with an ancient history, is gaining legitimacy. This has always been their long-standing dream: through the land they have usurped, with weapons they have borrowed, with a people whose minds have been filled with falsehoods, and more tellingly, with their insatiable savagery nurtured by the systematic immunity granted to them. This immunity must end. Israel’s activities are not against one or two countries, but against all humanity, targeting all human rights.”
The Iranian ambassador and permanent representative to Geneva also emphasized: “Supporters of the Israeli regime, led by the United States, must know that supporting this regime means directly supporting violations of international humanitarian laws, human rights, and crimes against humanity, and therefore they must be held accountable alongside the regime’s perpetrators.”
In closing, Bahraini referred to the responsibilities of international bodies: “At this critical moment in Iran’s history, it is the duty of international institutions to speak out against the occupier and aggressor in clear and unambiguous terms. Iran demands that widespread human rights violations against its people be fully considered in any report or statement on Iran’s human rights situation. The Islamic Republic of Iran has never allowed aggressors against its national interests and sovereignty to act with immunity and expects the international community to adopt the same stance. Iran will never permit any violator to target its people’s human rights, and a strong and united Iran will take all lawful, firm, and decisive measures to defend its territorial integrity.”
