Saed News: Donald Trump will meet and talk with Field Marshal Asim Munir in a few hours.
According to Saed News, quoting Fararu, it has been reported that Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Commander of the Pakistan Army, is scheduled to go to the White House for a closed-door lunch with Donald Trump, the President of the United States, without the presence of the media.
Asim Munir has been in the U.S. since June 14. The meeting between him and Mr. Trump was planned in advance, but now, considering the outbreak of the war between Israel and Iran, a significant part of the Pakistan Army Commander’s meeting with Mr. Trump will likely focus on developments in this conflict and also the recent military clashes last month between India and Pakistan.
Pakistan shares an extensive border with Iran in its western regions — eastern Iran.
A few weeks ago, Field Marshal Asim Munir met with Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, who was killed during the initial Israeli attacks on Tehran.
Many consider Munir to be the most powerful individual in Pakistan.
