According to the Family Magazine team at Saed News, we’re here to share a sweet treat perfect for Mother’s Day: homemade brownies.
Ingredients:
75 g dark chocolate
Margarine or butter: 100 g
4 eggs
150 g fine sugar
100 g cake flour
25 g cocoa powder
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp salt
Toppings for decoration: melted chocolate, chocolate chips
Instructions:
Melt the butter and chocolate together, stirring until smooth.
Beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla with a mixer until light and fluffy (about 6–7 minutes).
Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt, then mix gently.
Add the melted chocolate and butter mixture and stir until combined.
Divide the batter in half. Line an 18×18 cm pan with parchment paper and pour in one half of the batter.
Place the pan in a larger pot filled with boiling water, as shown in the illustration, cover, and cook for 15 minutes.
Remove the lid and spread chocolate truffles evenly over the surface. Pour in the remaining batter and smooth the top.
Bake for another 30 minutes until fully set.
