(Serves 4)
Sugar: ½ cup
Cocoa powder: 3 tablespoons
Cornstarch: 3 tablespoons
Salt: 1 pinch
Milk: 2 ¾ cups (room temperature)
Butter: 2 tablespoons (room temperature)
Vanilla sugar: 1 teaspoon
Step 1:
Choose a suitable deep, non-stick pan. Add sugar, cornstarch, cocoa powder, and a small pinch of salt to the pan. Mix well until the ingredients are fully combined and uniform.
Step 2:
Gradually add the room-temperature milk to the pan while stirring to combine it with the dry ingredients. Once all the milk has been added, place the pan over medium heat and stir the mixture continuously.
Step 3:
Keep stirring until the pudding reaches your desired thickness. When the mixture begins to boil, it will thicken quickly due to the cornstarch. Once the pudding reaches a consistency similar to custard, add the vanilla.
Step 4:
Reduce the heat to low and add the room-temperature butter. Stir quickly until the butter is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth. Remove the pan from the heat and pour the pudding into your serving dishes.
Step 5:
Chocolate pudding can be served either warm or chilled. After transferring it to the serving dishes, you can garnish it with cocoa powder, grated chocolate, or any other toppings of your choice.
Enjoy your delicious homemade chocolate pudding!
