Eyravani: Israel Deliberately Targeted Iran’s Medical Personnel

According to Saednews, Amir Saeid Iravani, Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, emphasized in a letter to the President of the Security Council that Israel, in clear violation of international law—including international humanitarian law, human rights law, and all relevant conventions—deliberately targeted Iranian medical personnel and healthcare facilities, resulting in heavy casualties and widespread destruction.

The letter included an initial report from Iran’s Ministry of Health documenting the deaths, injuries, and damages to the health sector during the first ten days of Israel’s attacks starting June 13, 2025. Iravani stated the report highlights serious violations of protections afforded to medical staff and infrastructure during armed conflict and aims to document the human and material impact of the aggression. A full, detailed report is to follow.
