According to Saed News Tourism Service, Qarqchal Reservoir is located in Baladeh Village on the southern slopes of Shahdez Peak in Mazandaran Province. This reservoir is one of the natural and tourist attractions of the region, situated about 48 kilometers from Sari and 275 kilometers from Tehran. Qarqchal Reservoir lies amidst mountains and lush forests. To reach it, you need to take rural and side roads to Baladeh Village in Sari and then head toward this beautiful reservoir. The reservoir is rectangular, covering an area of approximately 50 by 100 meters—roughly the size of a football field.

Route to Qarqchal Reservoir:
To reach Qarqchal Reservoir in Baladeh, start from Sari toward Kiasar. Then take a side road to Baladeh Village. From the village, there is about 10 kilometers of dirt road to the reservoir, which is passable by regular cars, but due to the road condition, it is recommended to use off-road vehicles or local pickups.
You can travel to this area by private car, bus, or train. If traveling by car, make sure to check the route and traffic conditions in advance.

Access to Qarqchal Reservoir:
From Langar Village: Closed.
From Vavsar Village Entrance: 10 km past Telmadareh Police Station. The road starts paved, but 15 km from Vavsar, Mirafzal, Tilehbon, and Pain Deh to Baladeh is dirt with some steep sections. The last 3 km from Baladeh Village to the reservoir is not suitable for standard cars.
From Kiasar and the villages of Lala and Khalard, then past Ilal, Siavashkola, and Aghoozgeleh villages. The road is partly paved, with about 10 km of dirt road—this is the better route.
