The avocado tree is a good option for growing in a pot. You can grow an avocado seed in a pot and use its fruit. You can even place the seed in a cup of warm water. The plant should not be exposed to direct sunlight until the roots emerge. You can also grow apples in a pot, provided that the variety is not too large.
