According to Saed News, citing Salam No, Topkhaneh Square, located on present-day Imam Khomeini Street in Tehran, was built during the reign of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar. The name of today’s Imam Khomeini Street has changed several times throughout history.
The street was originally known as Sepah Street. During the Qajar period, it became known by names such as Baghshah and Marizkhaneh. Today, it is recognized as Imam Khomeini Street.
