SAEDNEWS: Yemeni Ansarallah Political Bureau Member Thanks Iran for Defying Yemen Air Blockade
According to Saednews, citing Yemen's Al-Masirah TV, Abdul Malik Al-Ajri, a member of the political bureau of the Ansarullah movement, praised Iran's role in facilitating the return of Yemeni citizens stranded abroad following the arrival of an Iranian aircraft in Yemen.
Al-Ajri expressed gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for what he described as a humanitarian effort to bring home Yemenis, including wounded individuals and patients who had been unable to return due to air travel restrictions.
He also thanked Iran for what he called a significant step in challenging the air blockade affecting Yemen's airports and ports, which he attributed to the Saudi-led coalition.
According to Al-Ajri, the restrictions imposed on Yemen's air and sea access have created severe humanitarian difficulties and were implemented without legitimate justification, while disregarding humanitarian and neighborly principles.
In a separate statement, Yemen's Foreign Ministry also commended Iran's actions regarding flights to Sana'a International Airport.
The ministry described Iran's move as a humanitarian initiative and expressed appreciation for its support, stating that the gesture would be remembered by the Yemeni people. The statement further emphasized that Yemen values Iran's continued humanitarian and political support.
The Foreign Ministry added that Yemen intends to pursue further practical steps to strengthen bilateral relations with Iran, focusing on cooperation across various sectors and reinforcing what it described as brotherly ties.
