France Calls in Iranian Ambassador in Reciprocal Diplomatic Move

According to Saednews, Iran has summoned the French ambassador in Tehran to protest what it described as violence by French security forces against protesters following a forceful crackdown on student demonstrations in France.

Reports indicate that at least 5,000 people have been arrested during the protests, while many others have suffered serious injuries, including eye damage, broken teeth, and head trauma.

A spokesperson for the French Foreign Ministry rejected the Iranian protest as unfounded and called the move provocative, urging Tehran to put an end to such actions.

Iran, however, argued that France has claimed the right to support unrest and disturbances in other countries. Tehran also accused France of repeatedly backing rioters and terrorist groups during periods of unrest in Iran, saying the country had effectively become a base for them.
