SAEDNEWS: Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Aref has announced that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to play an active role in cooperation with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
According to Saednews, Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref has reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to play an active role in strengthening economic and regional cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
In a message delivered by Iran’s ambassador to Belarus at a meeting of the EAEU Intergovernmental Council late Friday, Aref said Iran is prepared to serve as an active, reliable, and long-term partner for the Union’s member states.
Aref highlighted the growing connection between political and economic security, saying Iran supports genuine multilateralism, mutual respect, and equal rights for all nations. He described the EAEU as an important platform for expanding regional cooperation.
He also expressed appreciation to the government and people of Belarus, particularly the country’s prime minister, for hosting the meeting. Aref said Iran’s participation alongside the Eurasian nations provided an important opportunity to discuss current developments and establish a future roadmap for cooperation among EAEU members.
Aref condemned what he described as military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran, calling the actions violations of international law, the UN Charter, and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of independent states.
Referring to damage to civilian infrastructure and casualties among Iranian civilians, including at a school in Minab, he stressed the importance of respecting international law and its fundamental principles.
Aref further said that opposing unilateralism does not mean defending any particular country. Rather, he argued, it represents support for national sovereignty, free trade, economic independence, and the right of nations to determine their own development paths and choose their partners.
