SAEDNEWS: Several US media outlets report that the United States has used nearly all of its long-range precision missiles during the conflict with Iran, though officials have not confirmed the claims.
According to Saednews, CNN has reported that the United States has used nearly 80% of its interceptor missiles for the THAAD missile defense system. According to the report, which cites two sources familiar with the matter, the US military has expended almost four-fifths of its THAAD interceptor inventory compared with pre-war levels. The report also states that approximately half of the country's Patriot interceptor missiles have been used since the conflict began.
CNN further reported that shrinking missile stockpiles, combined with concerns from US allies in the Middle East about possible Iranian retaliation, contributed to President Donald Trump's decision to cancel previously planned large-scale strikes on Iranian infrastructure.
However, officials from both the Pentagon and the White House disputed concerns that US missile defense inventories had reached critically low levels.
