SAEDNEWS: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force reportedly carried out an operation that, according to the claim, severely impacted U.S. military capabilities in the region by targeting American radar and air defense systems in Bahrain.
According to Saednews, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had carried out missile and drone strikes targeting U.S. military defense systems in Bahrain, describing the operation as retaliation for what it called American aggression against Iran.
According to an IRGC statement released early Tuesday, the operation was launched in response to U.S. actions affecting Iran's security and sovereignty. The organization claimed its aerospace forces successfully targeted American military infrastructure during the latest phase of its military campaign.
The statement alleged that a U.S. radar installation and an American air defense system located in Al Muharraq, Bahrain, were destroyed. It also claimed that a Patriot air defense battery in Al Rifa was struck in a coordinated missile and drone attack.
The IRGC further stated that these operations were intended to weaken U.S. defensive capabilities and prepare the way for additional military actions if necessary. It added that retaliatory measures would continue and that updates would be provided to the Iranian public.
The announcement linked the strikes to what Iran described as repeated U.S. military attacks on Iranian territory. The statement asserted that Iran's armed forces had responded by targeting strategic American military assets across the region.
The IRGC also referred to the recent conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel, claiming that Iran's military response forced its opponents to agree to a ceasefire after weeks of hostilities.
In addition, the statement mentioned a Pakistan-mediated Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Tehran and Washington to end hostilities and support further diplomatic negotiations. It alleged that the United States later violated the agreement, prompting what Iran described as a renewed and firm military response.
