SAEDNEWS: The Supreme Leader stated that Iranian officials worked hard with sincerity and goodwill to reach this stage, while the U.S. President, driven by desperation, used various forms of pressure to achieve the agreement.
According to Saed News Political Desk, following the signing of a war-ending agreement between the Presidents of Iran and the United States, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (dated June 18, 2026 / 28 Khordad 1405) issued an important message to the passionate and loyal people of Iran. The message contained unprecedented strategic remarks regarding the background of the agreement, the Leader’s position, and the conditions for moving forward.
In the opening section of the message, the Supreme Leader praised the sincere efforts of the country's officials in reaching the agreement. A notable point in this section is the explicit emphasis on the opposing side's weak position, stating that the U.S. President, out of “helplessness” and necessity, was compelled to employ various means to achieve this understanding.
The most significant aspect of this historic message is the disclosure of the difference between the Supreme Leader’s own perspective and the final outcome, as well as the reasoning behind authorizing the agreement.
He stated clearly that, “as a matter of principle, I held a different opinion,” but that authorization was granted on the basis of a firm internal guarantee.
According to the message, the President, in his capacity as Chairman of the Supreme National Security Council, provided a strong commitment on behalf of himself and the other members of the Council to safeguard the rights of the Iranian nation and the Resistance Front, while accepting full responsibility for the implementation and consequences of the decision.
The Supreme Leader went on to outline the red lines for the future, making it clear that the President had affirmed that Iran would not yield to any excessive demands by the United States. He stressed that both the Iranian people and he himself would be watching closely to ensure that these conditions are fulfilled.
He also warned that any future face-to-face negotiations should not be interpreted as acceptance of the enemy’s views or demands.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
To the passionate and loyal people of Iran,
As you have become aware, an agreement has been signed between the Presidents of Iran and the United States.
Throughout the process leading to this stage, the responsible officials, motivated by goodwill and sincere concern, made considerable efforts. It was, however, the President of the United States who, out of desperation, resorted to various means in pursuit of this outcome.
As a matter of principle, I held a different opinion. Nevertheless, based on the commitment that the respected President, in his role as Chairman of the Supreme National Security Council, made to me on behalf of himself and the other members of the Council regarding the protection of the rights of the Iranian nation and the Resistance Front—and given his explicit acceptance of responsibility for this matter—I granted my authorization.
He has also explicitly stated that if the American side seeks excessive concessions, they will not submit to them. From this moment onward, we—the proud Iranian nation and this humble servant—will be awaiting the fulfillment of the stated conditions.
It is evident, however, that any direct negotiations that may take place in the future do not signify acceptance of the enemy’s position.
We hope that, through the blessed prayers of our Master, may Allah hasten his reappearance, all forms of divine assistance and victories will be bestowed upon the honorable people of Iran.
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
