According to the political service of the Saed News Agency website, the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command claimed that its forces carried out a nighttime operation in the Indian Ocean to seize a stateless and sanctioned vessel named Davina.

The U.S. military command, in a hostile statement, added that it continues its operations under the banner of “maritime law enforcement” on a global scale in order to disrupt networks supporting Iran.

According to published information, the United States sanctioned the vessel in October 2024 due to its oil-related trade and connections with Iran. Davina is described as a supertanker capable of carrying two million barrels of crude oil.
