Saed News: According to a Russian official, the United States is “up to its neck involved in the Iran issue” and is not paying attention to Ukraine.
According to SAEDNEWS, a Russian diplomatic official told the state news agency TASS that:
“The prospect of resuming negotiations on Ukraine largely depends on developments surrounding Iran, because the United States is currently trapped in a Middle East conflict.”
The official emphasized that Washington currently has no focus on a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine situation, “because the United States is deeply involved in the Iran issue and has effectively suspended Ukraine negotiations.”
He added:
“As long as the Iran conflict does not reach some form of logical conclusion—and it is completely impossible to predict when that will happen, it could be tomorrow or it could take months—until then it will be difficult for the Americans to actively deal with other major international issues.”
