SAEDNEWS: Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei on his election as Iran’s new leader, wishing him success and reaffirming Russia’s support and ties with Tehran.
According to the political service of Saed News, citing IRNA, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message congratulating the election of Iran’s new Supreme Leader.
In his congratulatory message addressed to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, Putin stated: “I am confident that you will proudly continue your father’s work and unite the people of Iran in facing serious challenges.”
In another part of the message, the Russian president emphasized the strategic ties between the two countries and affirmed that Moscow will continue its support for Tehran. He also expressed his desire to “once again reaffirm our unwavering support for Tehran and solidarity with our Iranian friends.”
The message comes as Russia emphasizes strengthening bilateral relations and joint cooperation amid the current sensitive circumstances.
