One incident that has drawn significant attention involves an attack on the “Ofogh Kourosh” store in the city, with items set on fire in the middle of the street.
Political Service, Saed News – Contrary to claims made on some opposition news channels that tried to portray this location as a “secret warehouse of military institutions,” field images and evidence show that the site targeted was actually a supermarket chain (Ofogh Kourosh). Attackers removed bags of rice, cooking oil, and other staple goods, dumping them onto the street. In doing so, they not only damaged public property but also destroyed essential supplies needed by people during difficult economic times.
Contradiction in the narrative: IRGC warehouse or people’s livelihood?
A noteworthy aspect of this incident is the attempt to “justify looting” by applying political labels. Media outlets supporting the unrest claimed the location was a logistics warehouse of the IRGC. The damaged images clearly show a public shopping center serving ordinary citizens.

This act, which has been reflected with bitter irony on social media, demonstrates how some groups, by creating a clouded narrative, show no regard even for the livelihoods of the people in their own region. Dumping food in the streets and then labeling it a “military warehouse” is a failed attempt to legitimize law-breaking behavior that directly targets citizens’ food and economic security.
