The story of Zulaikha did not end with her attempt to win Joseph's affection. Years later, after Joseph was released from prison and rose to a position of authority in Egypt, Zulaikha was reportedly living through difficult circumstances. According to some traditional accounts, she had become old, poor, and blind, and would beg along Joseph's path.
During one of their encounters, Zulaikha introduced herself to Joseph. He reportedly asked her whether her love for him still remained in her heart. She replied that, by God, seeing his face even once was more valuable to her than the entire world.

It is important to note that other sources identify Ephraim and Manasseh as the sons of Asenath, traditionally described as Joseph's wife. However, historians such as al-Muqaddasi (Mutahhar ibn Tahir al-Maqdisi), in The Book of Creation and History, are reported to have specifically attributed these two sons to Joseph and Zulaikha.
Some accounts also state that Joseph lived with Zulaikha for 37 years.
According to the traditional story, Zulaikha's life after her reunion with Joseph continued to be marked by devotion and love.
Some accounts state that Prophet Joseph died at the age of 120. When Zulaikha heard of his death, she was overcome with grief and went to his body. After remaining unconscious for three days and nights, she reportedly prayed to God to reunite her soul with Joseph.
According to the روایت, her prayer was answered and she also passed away. Some sources further claim that Joseph and Zulaikha were buried beside one another near the Nile River.
According to these traditional accounts, the story of Joseph and Zulaikha was not simply a tale of unfulfilled love and lifelong longing. After years of hardship, separation, and repentance, Zulaikha is said to have become the wife of Prophet Joseph. The marriage is traditionally described as having been blessed with two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, whose names became prominent in Israelite history.
