Some believe that for the fulfillment of needs, the Nad-e Ali prayer is better recited in the morning, while others consider nighttime more appropriate for reciting both Nad-e Ali Saghir and Kabir. However, in reliable sources, there is no definitive or clear answer regarding a specific time.

Nevertheless, in one related narration, there is a reference that may help clarify this issue. Master Kashmiri (may God have mercy on him) quoted the following about the best time to recite Nad-e Ali for fulfilling needs:

“If one says ‘Ya Ali’ 100 times in this remembrance, it is good. I have seen much goodness in Nad-e Ali. Whenever I had a problem in Najaf, I would go to the courtyard of the Commander of the Faithful (Imam Ali, peace be upon him) and recite it a few times, and my problem would be solved.”
(Ruh-e Rayhan, biography of the complete mystic, the late Ayatollah Seyed Abdul Karim Rashid Kashmiri, Seyed Ali Akbar Sedaghat, pp. 93–94)
