Unsuccessful End Of Pentagon Talks; Tel Aviv’s Insistence On Continuing The War In Lebanon

According to SAEDNEWS, a Lebanese official source stated: the negotiating military delegation at the Pentagon did not achieve its request for establishing a real ceasefire. This delegation insisted on the demand for a ceasefire but faced repeated opposition from Israel.

The Lebanese delegation in these negotiations consisted of six officers specialized in various fields, headed by Brigadier General George Rizkallah, Director of Army Operations.

The source told Al Mayadeen that the Israeli delegation refused to withdraw from the occupied Lebanese territories and, in its view, insisted on the “destruction (of Hezbollah’s military capabilities).”

According to the report, the new round of negotiations between the Lebanese military delegation, the United States, and Israel at the Pentagon ended after more than 9 hours, and the Pentagon is expected to issue a statement on these trilateral talks.
