SAEDNEWS: Rikkie Valerie Kollé Becomes First Trans Woman to Win Miss Holland
According to the Saed News analytical news agency, Rikkie Valerie Kollé represented her country in the 72nd Miss Universe competition. The model won the Miss Netherlands 2023 crown and became the first transgender woman to achieve this title.
In a press statement, competition officials noted that 26-year-old Natalie from Amsterdam was the first runner-up, while Habiba Mostafa and Lou Dirchs were awarded Miss Congeniality and Miss Social Media respectively.
This is the first time a transgender contestant has won a national beauty pageant title.
