According to SAEDNEWS, Donia Sibomana from Congo was attacked by wild chimpanzees at the age of 6. In this incident, his 4-year-old brother and his cousin were killed, but he miraculously survived. Donia was seriously injured in the lips, cheek, ear, and hand, and one of his fingers was amputated.

This tragic event, however, marked the beginning of a glorious period for Donia; he started wrestling professionally and eventually, by defeating all his opponents, won the gold medal in both youth and senior African Championships.
