SAEDNEWS: Two Iranian ice climbers succeeded in winning a gold medal and a bronze medal at the UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup in South Korea.
According to SAEDNEWS, During the first round of the 2026 UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup in Cheung-Sung, South Korea, Mohammad-Reza Safdarian grabbed a gold medal and Mohsen Beheshti bagged a bronze medal.
Iranian athletes were followed by an ice climber from Mongolia. Iranian female ice climber Mahin Khalili ranked fifth in this tournament in the speed class.
The second round of the UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup is scheduled to be held in Switzerland in the final week of January.
