According to Saed News’ multimedia service, citing Fararu, this record was measured from the tip of the middle finger to just below the palm, where the wrist begins. Afshin’s left hand measures 6.7 centimeters, and his right hand 6.4 centimeters.

His hands are nearly three times smaller than those of an average adult man. After receiving the record, Afshin and his family jokingly suggested that his hands might be the smallest in the world. However, they noted that if his nose were measured, such a record-breaking feat would seem unlikely!

Standing at 65.24 centimeters tall, Afshin is the fourth shortest man officially recognized by Guinness World Records. He tells Guinness: “I know who the tallest man in the world is. I might even fit in his hands.” And, in this case, Afshin is right.

The “Cousin Sultan,” the tallest man in the world, also holds a hand-related record. He has the largest hands of any living man, with each hand measuring 28.5 centimeters in length and 30.48 centimeters in width. That means Afshin could literally fit in Sultan’s hands.

Afshin was born in a remote village in Bukan County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran, and speaks both Kurdish and Persian. Since earning his record, he has traveled to multiple countries, enjoying life more fully than ever before.

He visited the Guinness office in Dubai to have his record officially verified and also toured the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. Afshin’s latest record was awarded on the Italian television talent show Lo Show Dei Record in Milan. He is relishing his newfound fame, which had previously seemed unattainable for someone of his stature.

Life in Iran had not been easy for Afshin. His small size made attending school difficult, and in adulthood, suitable job opportunities were scarce. He spent much of his time watching cartoons and browsing social media, especially Instagram.

Since achieving his Guinness records, Afshin has gained a large following on Instagram. He has discovered his talents in acting and content creation and has even appeared in a comedy film.

Although he is happy, Afshin sometimes wishes he could experience life as an average-height person. He dreams of owning a car and driving independently. Currently, he requires parental assistance to go out, though he can walk without help, placing him among the shortest living men capable of independent movement.

His parents say Afshin’s kind and outgoing personality has made him beloved in his local community. Now, after his images appeared on television and social media, he has fans all over the world.

Afshin says, “I enjoy the attention I get from people. It makes me feel special. Just thinking about being part of the Guinness World Records family feels like a dream. Sometimes I struggle to believe it. It’s like waking up the next day and the whole world knows who you are. It’s magical.”
