Saed News: Chocolate dessert is a popular treat with many different varieties. There are various methods for making chocolate desserts, and they are beloved all around the world. Some chocolate desserts have complex recipes and need to be baked in the oven. However, this particular chocolate dessert requires no cooking or baking.
If you’re craving a rich, smooth chocolate treat that doesn’t require baking or a long prep time, this recipe is for you. With just five basic ingredients and a few simple steps, you can whip up a chocolate dessert that’s as impressive as it is irresistible.
4 cups chocolate milk
50 g dark chocolate (50% to 70% cocoa)
150 g breakfast cream (or heavy cream)
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp gelatin powder
Warm the Base
Pour the chocolate milk into a saucepan. Add the chopped dark chocolate and cocoa powder. Stir gently over low to medium heat until everything is well combined and the chocolate has melted.
Note: Do not bring it to a boil — just warm enough to blend the ingredients.
Add the Gelatin
Sprinkle the gelatin powder over a few tablespoons of cold water to bloom (soak) it for a few minutes. Once it swells, add it to the warm chocolate mixture. Stir until the gelatin dissolves completely.
Incorporate the Cream
In the last two minutes of heating, mix the cream with a spoonful of the chocolate mixture in a separate bowl to temper it. Then add it back into the main mixture and stir well to avoid clumps.
Strain the Mixture (Optional)
For a silky-smooth finish, strain the mixture through a fine sieve into a bowl or pitcher.
Mold and Chill
Pour the mixture into molds of your choice — square, rectangular, glass dishes, or silicone molds. Let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to cool down slightly. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
Serve
To remove from the molds, gently loosen the edges with your fingers or a thin knife, then flip onto a plate. Garnish if desired and enjoy!
Here are some important tips you should definitely pay attention to:
✅ In the video, I added the cream at the same time as the other ingredients, but it's better if you mix the cream with a bit of the chocolate mixture and add it in during the last two minutes, just before removing it from the heat, to prevent clumping.
✅ It's best to strain the entire mixture once for a smoother texture.
❎ The mixture doesn’t need to come to a boil — just warm it up enough for everything to combine well.
✅ After making the dessert, let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes so the heat dissipates, then place it in the fridge.
✅ You can use any mold you like — square, rectangular, glass, or patterned — to shape the dessert.
❎ To unmold any dessert or jelly, first gently loosen the edges with your fingers, then it will easily release onto the serving plate.
Enjoy the creamy, chocolatey goodness in every bite!
