Saed News: The President stated that "they tell us we have no right to pursue what is rightfully ours as human beings," and emphasized, "No free human being will ever submit to oppression, injustice, or wrongdoing."
According to the political affairs desk of Saed News, Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking at the commemoration ceremony marking the anniversary of the late Imam Khomeini at the mausoleum of the founder of the Islamic Revolution, stated:
“The late Imam guided us to honor and dignity through his behavior, lifestyle, and words. He brought self-confidence to Iranian society.”
He recalled:
“The Imam’s slogan was ‘We can,’ and ‘We will never bow to any oppression or tyranny.’ Every year, we come to his shrine on his anniversary to renew our pledge to continue the path for which he led the revolution.”
The President referenced the Imam’s will, saying:
“What the late Imam left us in his will is exactly what God recommended in the Quran, what the Prophet commanded, and what the Imams also urged us to follow. If we act upon the Imam’s words and stay committed to his guidance, no power can bring us Muslims to our knees.”
Pezeshkian emphasized that:
“If we face problems today, it's because we haven't acted upon the Imam’s teachings. Islam is the religion of reason, justice, and fairness. What is condemned are satanic, dictatorial, and oppressive governments.”
Referring to Imam Khomeini’s insistence on unity and avoiding division in the country, he added:
“Today, America, Israel, and all their agents and traitors are doing everything they can to create division and discord in the country so they can carry out their insidious plans.”
The President stated:
“What they will never witness is us losing our unity and cohesion. Our internal unity crushes their greedy ambitions. It is our unity and cohesion that brings them to their knees before the Muslim world.”
He continued:
“Just imagine if we Muslims and Muslim countries stood together — what could Israel, with its population of only two to four million, possibly do to us? The U.S. has come into the region, armed Israel, and supplied it with all kinds of devastating military weapons, yet tells Islamic countries that Iran is the threat.”
He noted:
“America takes the money it earns from Muslim oil and resources and gives weapons, missiles, and bombs to Islamic countries to make them fight one another — turning Muslims into threats to each other while America presents itself as the guarantor of security.”
The President stressed:
“The true source of insecurity in the region, the one trampling on all human rights, is Israel. No free human being accepts Israel’s killings and plundering in the region, which are supported by the U.S. and Europe. Yet those who claim to stand for human rights, peace, and security defend criminal Israel and tell us we have no right to pursue what is, by human standards, rightfully ours. They say we don’t have the right to pursue knowledge, science, and solutions in nuclear energy, health care, agriculture, and other fields — and demand we stop.”
Pezeshkian added:
“No free human being will submit to oppression, injustice, or wrongdoing. Human nature is built on justice and truth. Even if someone accepts tyranny today, tomorrow there will be free people who will rise, shout out, and stand against it.”
He declared:
“If they truly want peace and security in the region, they must recognize and respect the rights, justice, and dignity of all people in this region.”
The President emphasized:
“We hope that one day, we will eradicate the roots of division, racism, and ethnic conflict in our country. We must join hands in brotherhood and remain alert against the illusions of enemies who seek to provoke ethnic tensions within the country and stir hostility between nations based on race or ethnicity. They want to divide us by such means and pit us against each other.”
Pezeshkian firmly stated:
“We will never stand against our Muslim brothers and sisters in other Islamic countries. We seek peace and security, not nuclear weapons. Those who accuse us of seeking weapons of mass destruction — it's you who terrify the region with such weapons.”
He continued:
“You are the ones exploiting the wealth and resources of Islamic countries. Instead of educating them in science, industry, and the arts, you provide them with weapons and ammunition to turn them against each other.”
The President stressed:
“Religion and belief exist so that Muslims and Islamic leaders serve the people — not rule over them as masters. We, as officials of this country, are proud to serve the people, and with all our might, we will strive — with the help of a people who have not and will not forget the Imam’s message — to overcome all challenges.”
Pezeshkian reminded:
“We will not allow them to think that imposing sanctions will bring us to our knees. If we maintain healthy relations with our neighbors, how can they sanction us? Sanctions only become possible when egos take over and divisions are sown among Islamic countries.”
The President concluded by saying:
“We will never relinquish our scientific, expert, and nuclear rights. Let them dream that they can stop Muslims and Islamic nations from attaining their rightful knowledge, science, and creativity through threats or temptations.”
