SAEDNEWS: The cinnamon roll is a fluffy bread swirled with butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Its warm aroma and sweet flavor make it perfect alone or with tea or coffee, for breakfast or a cozy snack.
According to the Family Magazine service of SaedNews, cinnamon rolls are among the most delicious pastries. This tasty treat is also highly nutritious, making it a perfect snack for children. Try to include cinnamon in your dishes or desserts, as it offers many health benefits, including heart health, improved blood circulation, and relief from muscle pain.
To make this pastry, you will need yeast. Store it in the refrigerator and buy it in small amounts to ensure freshness. One common reason pastries and bread fail is inactive yeast, which can be caused by factors such as water or milk being too hot or too cold. Always make sure your yeast is fresh and active.

Warm milk: 2 cups
Instant yeast: 2½ tsp
Sugar: ⅓ cup
Vegetable oil: ⅓ cup
Flour: 5 cups
Salt: ½ tsp
Brown sugar: 2 tbsp
White sugar: 2 tbsp
Cinnamon: 3 tsp
Butter: 100 g
Egg (for brushing): 1
Milk (for brushing): 2 tbsp
Step 1:
To prepare a delicious, elegant cinnamon roll, start by taking a suitable bowl. Add sugar and yeast, then pour in warm milk and vegetable oil. Mix slightly and cover the bowl.
Step 2:
Let the mixture rest for 10–15 minutes until the yeast activates. In another bowl, mix and sift the salt and flour. Gradually add the flour mixture to the yeast and milk.
Step 3:
Stir continuously until a cohesive dough forms that doesn’t stick to your hands. Avoid adding too much flour, or the dough will become heavy and stiff. Knead the soft, smooth dough by hand for about 15 minutes.
Step 4:
Grease the bottom of a bowl with oil, place the dough inside, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rest in a warm place for about 2 hours until it doubles in size.
Step 5:
In a separate bowl, leave the butter at room temperature to soften. Add cinnamon, white sugar, and brown sugar, mixing until smooth. After the dough has rested for 2 hours, gently press down to release the air.
Step 6:
Dust your work surface with flour. Divide the dough in two, roll out one portion, and spread the cinnamon mixture evenly on top. Roll the dough carefully.
Step 7:
Using dental floss or a serrated knife, cut the roll into 2 cm thick slices. Repeat the process with the second portion of dough.
Step 8:
Optionally, you can braid the rolls for a decorative touch. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and lightly grease it. Arrange the rolls on the tray.
Step 9:
Cover the tray and let the rolls rest for 30 minutes. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk, then brush over the rolls.
Step 10:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) for 10–15 minutes. Bake the rolls for 20 minutes at the same temperature.
Step 11:
For a convection oven (solardom), set the temperature to 165°C (329°F) for 20 minutes after the device has warmed.
Step 12:
If the tops aren’t golden, use the grill for 3 minutes. Once fully baked, remove the tray from the oven and let the rolls cool. Serve them on a suitable dish once they reach room temperature.
