Ingredients for Strawberry Cake
The quantities listed below serve 6 people. You can adjust the amounts proportionally for more or fewer servings.
Strawberries: 300 g
Flour: 1½ cups
Butter: 6 tbsp
Salt: ½ tsp
Sugar: 1 cup
Baking powder: 1½ tsp
Sugar for topping: 2 tbsp
Milk: ½ cup
Egg: 1
Vanilla: 1 tsp
Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance to soften slightly. Place it in a bowl with the sugar and beat well with an electric mixer until creamy and light in color.
Add the vanilla and break the egg into the mixture. Mix again until smooth.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients in several steps.
While adding the flour, pour the milk in two to three stages, mixing each time until the batter is smooth.
Grease a baking pan and pour the batter into it. Smooth the top with the back of a spoon.
