According to the Technology and Communications section of Saed News, these controversial rumors reached a point where Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, admitted that even his own spouse asked him: “Does this app eavesdrop on us?”
Adam Mosseri firmly responded: No! He explained: modern devices always show an indicator light whenever your microphone (or camera) is active. If Instagram were actually listening in, you would notice it!
The Instagram CEO also added that if you search for something, companies share that information with Meta and pay to target you with ads. Additionally, Instagram suggests ads based on your interests. And finally, he mentioned, sometimes it might just be a coincidence!
