Saed News: Below, you can see previously unseen photos from Fawzia Fouad’s trip to Bandar Shahpur accompanied by Ashraf and Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
According to the history service of Saed News, it should first be noted that Bandar Imam Khomeini was known as Bandar Shahpur during the Pahlavi dynasty. This port is located at the far northwest end of the Persian Gulf, 92 kilometers from the mouth of the Khor Musa and 20 kilometers southwest of Bandar Mahshahr.
Below are rarely seen photos of Fouzia, Ashraf, and Mohammad Reza Pahlavi at Bandar Shahpur and later returning from Egypt to Iran in Esfand 1317 in the Solar Hijri calendar (March 1939). In this trip, Fouzia wore a fur coat, for which a large amount of money was spent. (One of the reasons for the Iranian public's opposition to the Pahlavi monarchy was the extravagance of this family, while the economic situation of the nation was far from good).
