SAEDNEWS:When the sarcophagus was opened, they encountered a body that had remained remarkably well-preserved for centuries. For researchers, the scene evoked the unsolved mysteries of ancient civilizations and the sophisticated mummification techniques of the time.
According to the History and Culture section of Saed News, Zuleikha (also spelled Zaliyakha) was the wife of the ruler of Egypt. Her story with Prophet Joseph (peace be upon him) is mentioned in parts of the Quran and the Torah.
Some sources report that after Zuleikha repented in her old age, she was miraculously rejuvenated through the prayers of Joseph. After embracing monotheism, she married him. Together, they had two sons, Ephraim and Menashe (or Manasseh).
Zuleikha’s profound love for Joseph has inspired countless works in world literature, leaving a lasting imprint in Persian, Turkish, and European literary traditions.
